Ms. Barnett specializes in children and adolescents and serves individuals, families and couples. She is experienced in outpatient therapy, day treatment, group facilitation, substance abuse and partial hospitalization and has served as Day Treatment Program Director, School Based Therapist, Behavior Education Planner, Consultant, Advisor, Life Coach and Mentor.
Reese is a passionate psychotherapist driven by her determination to make a difference and improve her client’s well-being and quality of life. As a former project manager, Ms. Barnett utilizes her experience in program development, strategic planning, process management and human capital to leverage resources and give her clients a competitive edge in their sphere of influence by maximizing their value.
Reese holds a B.A. in Management and Society from UNC Chapel Hill and graduated Suma Cum Laude from Capella University with a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling in 2013. She is competent in several modalities of psychotherapy, but prefers cognitive behavioral and person centered therapies. Possessing over a decade of professional experience, in group facilitation, behavior modification, professional development and mentoring, she has discovered one cannot heal without first knowing and accepting the self. She firmly believes treatment should be holistic in order to heal the body, mind and spirit. As a licensed minister, and passionate social/community activist with extensive technical and managerial experience, she works tirelessly to empower others, raise awareness, and be a catalyst for change to help others live their best life NOW!
